The Huddle – Local Sport & Recreation Network

The Huddle is the Rural City of Murray Bridge's local sport and recreation network, bringing together sporting clubs, associations, community organisations and key stakeholders from across the region.

The Huddle provides an ongoing connection between Council and our local sporting community while also creating opportunities for clubs to connect, share ideas and learn from each other.

What is The Huddle?

Throughout the year, Council hosts a range of Huddle meetings, workshops and information sessions designed around the needs of local sporting organisations.

Topics may include:

  • Grant funding and available opportunities
  • Sponsorship and partnerships
  • Club governance and planning
  • Volunteer attraction, management and recognition
  • Marketing and social media
  • Increasing participation and membership
    Inclusive sport and recreation
  • Facility and infrastructure planning
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Updates from Council and the sport and recreation sector

The Huddle also provides a way for Council to regularly share funding opportunities, resources, training, upcoming programs and other information relevant to local clubs.

Who Can Join?

The Huddle is open to sporting clubs, associations, recreation organisations and other relevant community organisations within the Rural City of Murray Bridge. Individuals who have an invested interest in local sport are encouraged to join also.

Clubs are encouraged to have multiple representatives involved so information and opportunities can be shared across their organisation.

There is no cost to join The Huddle.
