As a result of the Level 5 Restrictions announced by the State Government on 20 July 2021, Businesses and employees in the Rural City of Murray Bridge may qualify for the South Australian Government’s income and business support payments.

The support packages amount to $375 per week for those workers who have lost between eight and less than 20 hours work, or have lost a full day of work. An amount of $600 per week is available if a person has lost over 20 hours work.

A one-off emergency cash grant of $3,000 will be available for small to medium-sized businesses that experience significant loss of income.

This payment applies to those businesses with a payroll of less than $10 million, with an annual turnover of $75,000 or more (in 2020-21 or 2019-20) and whose turnover is reduced by at least 30 per cent over the seven days from 20 July 2021 as a result of the lockdown.

Sole traders can also apply for a $1,000 grant, as long as they meet the criteria.
