Strategic Plan
Council endorsed the Strategic Plan 2020-2024 at its 14 April 2020 Council meeting.
The Strategic Plan 2020-24 is Council’s four year commitment to the community to support implementation of the Community Plan 2016-2032. The plan sets out the priorities for the period and identifies the objectives, programs and projects under each Strategic Theme that Council intends to deliver. The Strategic Plan is reviewed every four years to ensure that it continues to meet the expectations of our community.
The Strategic Plan 2020-24 involved the community in the development ensuring the plan reflected and responded to the community’s collective aspirations and needs. This process determined the community’s priorities and ensured that community concerns were understood and considered. Community consultation included community meetings and informal engagements held to determine priority focus areas and collect value adding ideas. During consultation over 570 suggestions were received from community members and over 270 votes were recorded for focus area prioritisation.
A draft of the plan was then presented to the community for feedback and meetings were held with our delivery partners to ensure we got it ‘right’.
The 2020-21 Annual Business Plan and Budget will mark our first year of delivery against the Strategic Plan 2020-24. Our services, programs and projects all aid in delivering the objectives identified in the plan.
