Dry Zone Sign

Following Community Consultation the Rural City of Murray Bridge has successfully applied for a 24 hour dry zone for the Central Business Area, Sturt Reserve and Hume Reserve area.

The dry areas initially came into effect on the 29 March, 2007.

Following public consultation in 2016 the Dry Area was approved as a continuous area by the Commissioner of Licensing and Council in December 2016.  This means that the Dry Area no longer needs to be reviewed after a period of time.

Council has also a Dry Area Liquor Accord and holds meetings on a regular basis to discuss strategic issues relating to the dry areas.

Any incidents occurring within or relating to the dry area should be reported to the Police on 131 444 as they are occurring.
