RCMB is an accredited Established Welcoming City and is proudly a part of the State Multicultural Ambassador Program.
About Welcoming Week
Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that connects communities around the world through community-led activities and events. It's a time to showcase the movement of creating welcoming places for everyone, including migrants, refugees, people seeking asylum, international students and all members of the community.
This Year's Theme: Belonging Starts Here
The theme for Welcoming Week 2025, “Belonging Starts Here,” invites us to reflect on the connections that unite our community – in neighbourhoods, workplaces, schools, places of worship and beyond. These connections foster unity and inclusivity, reminding us that belonging is created through everyday acts of welcoming.
Our Events and Activities
Council hosts a range of events and activities across our sites that bring our community together. We are proud to be a diverse and welcoming community. These gatherings aim to bridge differences, spark conversations and encourage cultural exchange – building lasting connections across our community.
Story time Brings Us Together!
Join us for a special Story Time at the Murray Bridge Library.
Every Tuesday during the school term from 9.30 am onwards, our Library staff dress up as picture-book characters. Come along to listen, learn and celebrate as stories and characters come to life from the pages of our books.
Brinkley ReUse Centre
The Brinkley Reuse Centre Brings us together to share our stories, form friendships and to feel safe and not judged.
A place we feel valued, confident and have a sense of belonging. It is our happy place.
