The Rural City of Murray Bridge is proposing the redevelopment of approximately 3.1km of Maurice Road, Murray Bridge, SA between Boral Quarry on Maurice Road to the Old Princes Highway new T Junction. Modifications will occur between these two sites including vegetation removal and revegetation. The Project site is located approximately 4 km west of the Rural City of Murray Bridge. The redevelopment will improve safety of the gravel road and dangerous bends by sealing and amending the sharp bends into safer curves for traffic on the road. Construction is proposed to commence January 2023.

The proposed action has been determined to be a controlled action under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) and will be assessed through Preliminary Documentation. The controlling provision under Part 3 of the EPBC Act has listed threatened species and communities (sections 18 & 18A).

In accordance with Section 95B(2) of the EPBC Act, Final Preliminary Documentation related to the proposed action is available for viewing between 28 October 2022 and 11 November 2022.
