Parks and Reserves
The Rural City of Murray Bridge is blessed with a range of beautiful open space parks and reserves that can provide a magical backdrop for events both large and small.
As custodians of these spaces, Council oversees the use of the parks and reserves for events, with event applications assessed on a case-by-case basis.
You can apply to host an event in one of Council’s parks or reserves by completing the Event Application form.
The following table shows the minimum application lodgement times depending on the size of the event.
Event type | Definition | Lodgement timeframe |
Small event | An event of 0 – 100 people with minimal setup that does not include road closures, fireworks, licensed area, amusements, staging or water activities. | At least 30 days prior |
Medium event | An event of 100 – 500 people that does not include road closures or fireworks. | At least 3 months prior |
Major event | An event over 500 people and/or an event that includes significant event infrastructure, road closures or fireworks. | At least 5 months prior |
Planning and organising a successful event can be a large undertaking. Council has prepared information to assist event organisers when applying for an event permit (Attachment B).
Before you submit your application, please ensure that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions (Attachment C).
When you are ready to proceed use the Event Application form to submit your request.
