Further Information
The Murraylands Community Men’s shed is an incorporated not for profit organisation and a registered charity.
The shed itself was built at the Murray Bridge Showgrounds with funding and land provided by the Rural City of Murray Bridge Council.
Membership is set at the Annual General Meeting each year with a $2 door payment when attending the shed.
The group will be participating in a range of community projects to raise funds, but members can choose to do whatever they wish within reason.
People can be referred for membership who may need companionship, or simply need somewhere to go to learn skills, or participate in worthwhile projects.
The Shed aims to provide a place of peace and fulfilment for all who join.
The very first priority will be to have a comfortable meeting room so members can sit down, have a tea or coffee, have a chat and get to know each other.
The Men's Shed movement is growing with approximately 1000 sheds around Australia and 74 in this state.
