FREE KITCHEN CADDY STARTER KITS

DID YOU KNOW FOOD WASTE MAKES UP TO 40% OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE?

You can help reduce your waste to landfill by using a kitchen caddy. Rural City of Murray Bridge residents are entitled to one (1) free kitchen caddy starter kit per residence.* The kit includes an aerated kitchen caddy, a roll of compostable bags** and an information brochure on use, including stickers for your bins.

Kitchen caddies and compostable bags can be used to collect organic food scraps from your kitchen. Full compostable bags can then be placed into your green organics bin. Kitchen caddies can also be used to collect food scraps for home composting systems, worm farms or as feed for chickens.

Diverting food waste from landfill can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create a valuable resource like compost!

Below are common household items that you CAN and CANNOT put into the caddy
