Council is excited to announce the introduction of a new Recycling Hub at the Murray Bridge Library, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and reducing landfill waste.

The joint initiative with the Adelaide Hills Region Waste Management Authority, the Murray Bridge Rotary Club and the Rural City of Murray Bridge, is a response to our community's desire for more ways to divert waste from landfills by making recycling more accessible.

The Recycling Hub will facilitate the recycling of various items that can be hazardous or particularly impactful in landfills.

The community can visit the Murray Bridge Library and drop off the following items in designated boxes, during library opening hours:

  • Mobile phones
  • Batteries
  • Blister packs
  • Household cords
  • Small eWaste
  • Soft drink bottle lids
  • Ring pulls
  • X Rays
  • Eyewear

Council strongly encourages the community to use the Hub to recycle these items, rather than in general rubbish.
