Council is holding the community celebration, in collaboration with the Murraylands Migrant Resource Centre and Genuine Support Services Australia on Friday 20 June 2025 as part of National Refugee Week 2025.
The evening festivities will showcase traditional Chinese dance and music with a vibrant performance by the Ode to Joy Group. It will also inspire, with Refugee Ambassador Erfanullah sharing his powerful journey of resilience and advocacy, having fled Afghanistan and the violence of the Taliban in 2021 to start a new life in Australia.
The festival will culminate with a citizenship ceremony to welcome new Australians into the community.
All Culture Fest aims to celebrate the diverse cultures that enrich the Murray Bridge community. As an annual event, it serves as a significant gathering, uniting individuals of all ages and backgrounds while acknowledging the invaluable contributions of diverse cultures to the Murraylands region.
Recognised with a highly commended honour in the 2024 Governor’s Multicultural Awards Public Sector Category, the festival stands as an example of the support and celebration for cultural diversity and social inclusion within the Rural City of Murray Bridge.
Mayor Wayne Thorley said the event was an important opportunity to celebrate the diversity that enhances the Murraylands community.
“We are excited to come together and celebrate the contributions of people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures that serve to enhance and enrich our vibrant and welcoming community,” he said.
All Culture Fest 2025 will run from 6-9pm on Friday 20 June 2025 at The Murray Bridge Performing Arts + Function Centre. Free light refreshments will be available from 6-7pm.
