Houseboat Moorings

Houseboats are a traditional and fun way to experience the beauty of the Murray River - for holiday makers and locals alike.

Council provides mooring facilities along our riverfront reserves.

Houseboats can be moored for up to 48 hours at any of Council's designated mooring sites - allowing equality of access for all. People wishing to moor longer than 48 hours must obtain a Council permit to do so (please scroll down for further information).

Approved Council Houseboat Mooring sites are listed below. For more information on any of these reserves please select the appropriate Related Link.

Permits

People wishing to moor longer than 48 hours must obtain a Council permit to do so.

Permits are available at a rate of $63 per day and can be obtained by submitting a Houseboat Mooring Application at the Local Government Centre, mailing to PO Box 421 MURRAY BRIDGE SA 5253 or via email council@murraybridge.sa.gov.au

Failure to obtain a permit for those who moor longer than 48 hours will result in fines.
