Houseboats are a traditional and fun way to experience the beauty of the Murray River - for holiday makers and locals alike.

Council provides mooring facilities along our riverfront reserves.

Houseboats can be moored for up to 48 hours at any of Council's designated mooring sites - allowing equality of access for all. People wishing to moor longer than 48 hours must obtain a Council permit to do so (please scroll down for further information).

Permits

People wishing to moor longer than 48 hours must obtain a Council permit to do so.

Permits are available at a rate of $64 per day and can be obtained by submitting a Houseboat Mooring Application at the Local Government Centre, mailing to PO Box 421 MURRAY BRIDGE SA 5253 or via email council@murraybridge.sa.gov.au

Failure to obtain a permit for those who moor longer than 48 hours will result in fines.
