The Rural City of Murray Bridge is proud to celebrate Welcoming Week 2023 as an accredited Welcoming City, fostering a sense of unity and inclusion among all members of our community.

From Friday 8 September to Sunday 17 September, Murray Bridge will host events and initiatives designed to bring together neighbours, old and new, in the spirit of unity and mutual understanding.

Launched in 2012 by Welcoming America and its members, Welcoming Week has grown into a movement that exemplifies the commitment of communities striving to create more welcoming environments for everyone. The week offers individuals and communities the opportunity to express and embrace welcoming values through a variety of activities that facilitate connections nurturing a sense of belonging for all.

The Rural City of Murray Bridge recognizes that its success pivots on the sense of inclusivity it fosters. Embracing new neighbours as integral parts of the community enriches the city with fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and entrepreneurial endeavours, contributing to the vibrant diversity that we all value.

Let us come together to build a community where every resident has the opportunity to contribute their best. We hope you can attend one of the local events, invite a new neighbour over for coffee, or spend time with new friends at a nearby park to celebrate Welcoming Week 2023.
