Mayor Wayne Thorley expressed strong support for the project, stating, "This refurbishment is a fantastic step forward for our community. Upgrading the courts to meet national standards will not only benefit local players but also enhance our city's sporting infrastructure.

Council is proud to support the Imperial Netball Club in delivering this important initiative, which contributes to building thriving communities through improved sports and recreation facilities."

The Imperial Netball Club Committee shared the Club’s excitement about the project, “The Imperial Netball Club is thrilled to be proceeding with its upcoming court redevelopment and this exciting project will see all three courts resurfaced, together with more space for players, officials and spectators.

It will provide better shelter, together with a secure space for the youngest netball family members and friends. We are grateful for this opportunity and are working closely with Council to bring this development to life, securing the future of our club, players and local netball community.”

This project is made possible by the Play our Way – An Australian Government initiative.
