Council in collaboration with the Riverglades Community Wetlands Inc., has been diligently working for several years to protect the diverse fauna and flora of the Riverglades Area.

After meticulous planning and preparations, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming installation of a rabbit and fox-proof fence in the designated area. This significant project aims to preserve and protect the biodiversity of Riverglades for generations to come.

The red line on the map represents the 1800mm high fence that will be installed in the coming weeks.

During installation, access to the protected zone may be limited to ensure the safety and efficiency of the installation process. We kindly request everyone to be vigilant and maintain a safe distance from the contractors. The estimated duration of the installation period is approximately 2 weeks.

Pedestrian and bicycle access will be available at all times within the protected zone. Additionally, vehicle access will be provided for those who require access for essential tasks such as pump maintenance and mowing.

For more information on this installation, please contact Council on 8539 1100 or council@murraybridge.sa.gov.au

This project is supported by the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board through funding from the landscape levies.
