The Australian International Pedal Prix, the biggest human powered vehicle race in the world, is returning to Murray Bridge, the heart of the Murraylands.

From 20 – 22 September 2024, the sixth and final round of the UniSA Australian HPV Super Series will be held on Sturt Reserve, overlooking the picturesque Murray River. More than 170 aerodynamically designed trikes will power around the challenging course, seeking to conquer the 24-hour endurance race. Teams of all ages and from all over Australia will be participating, with local school teams Murray Bridge High School and Unity College represented and Murray Bridge North School a chance to qualify.

Vehicle scrutineering will take place on the morning of Friday 20 September, with Qualifying and the Top Ten Shootout in the afternoon.

The Schools Super Shootout will excite spectators on Saturday morning before the big field is called to the grid for a midday start. In this main event, teams of up to 20 riders each will take turns to cover as many kilometres as they can, taking the green light at midday and being met by the chequered flag 24 hours later on Sunday.

Some 20,000 people are expected to attend over the three-day event. Competitors will begin arriving on the Thursday, with gates open on Friday from 6am and same time on Saturday.

Entry is $20 per attendee for the weekend and vehicle entry $20 per car. More information including how to purchase tickets can be found here.

Please be advised, there will be road closures in place during the event.
