This year’s annual theme, ‘Connecting Communities’, reflects the significant roles our selfless volunteers play in building connections that enrich and strengthen our community.
Volunteers are instrumental in helping Council deliver programs ranging from tourism and events to supporting our elderly and youth, taking care of our environment, protecting and promoting our heritage, and so much more.
National Volunteer Week is also a time to celebrate the benefits of volunteering. Volunteers often discover that sharing their time and skills with others builds connection and belonging, grows new friendships, and leaves them feeling happier and healthier.
The Rural City of Murray Bridge has a wide range of volunteering options available that are personally rewarding and make a meaningful difference in other people’s lives.
If you’re considering volunteering, explore the opportunities now available across Council’s programs.
