NAIDOC Week 2026

NAIDOC Week celebrations will be held throughout Australia from Sunday 5 July to Sunday 12 July 2026, to honour the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Bridge Walk will commence at 9.30am on the East Side of the Murray Bridge road bridge on Monday 6 July and finish at the Local Government Centre (2 Seventh Street, Murray Bridge).

Stay for the NAIDOC Awards Ceremony commencing at 10.00am followed by morning tea and activities.

The 2026 NAIDOC Week theme is "50 Years of Deadly", celebrating five decades of NAIDOC as a platform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, truth-telling, and community.

It honours the Elders, activists, and communities who have sustained the movement, marking a milestone in resilience and looking forward to the next generation.
