Announced earlier this month by the Hon Matt Keogh MP, Federal Minister for Veteran Affairs, this will be one of the 36 commemorative projects across the country which will share in the $575,000 of funding under Batch 2 of the program.

This announcement follows initial works completed at the Murray Bridge memorial, and allows the original full scope of works – including the formal pathway, bench seating, information boards and lighting - to be constructed and installed.

As part of its commitment to and respect for the legacy of our veterans, the Rural City of Murray Bridge has worked closely with the Murray Bridge RSL to support its grant application and provide on-ground installation and construction activity.

Once complete later this year, the Pathway of Honour and the nearby memorial will become a place for commemoration, reflection, education and preserving the district’s wartime heritage.
