Mental Health & Wellbeing Expo returns this October

The seventeenth Mental Health & Wellbeing Expo will bring laughter, connection and valuable resources to the Murray Bridge Performing Arts + Function Centre on Friday 10 October 2025 from 10am to 3pm.

The free community event, held during national Mental Health Month, is designed to improve awareness and understanding of mental health and wellbeing. Visitors can connect with local service providers, enjoy live presentations and take part in activities promoting healthy lifestyles.

The day will open with a Welcome to Country, followed by MC Jennie Lenman from 5MU and a welcome from Council CEO Heather Barclay.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Warren Davies - The Unbreakable Farmer: sharing his personal journey of resilience and mental health challenges that resonate from rural communities to corporate boardrooms.
  • Marc Ryan - The Beautiful Bogan: a comedian who uses humour and honesty about his own struggles to remind people they are not alone.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy activities such as face painting, massage therapy, nature therapy and health checks at the SISU station. A sensory space will also be available in the Vicki Nottage Gallery, which will be hosting the Youth Art Prize 2025 exhibition until 16 November.

Community connections will be at the heart of the event with opportunities to share “Coffee with a Cop”, chat with the Chatty Café team and enjoy a free pizza lunch and morning tea from the Migrant Resource Centre.

The expo is presented by iREACH, the Rural City of Murray Bridge and partners, with thanks to event sponsors including Skylight Mental Health - Community Connections Program, the Mental Health Coalition of SA and the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network.
