Mental Health & Wellbeing Expo returns this October
The eighteenth Mental Health & Wellbeing Expo will bring laughter, connection and valuable resources to the Murray Bridge Performing Arts + Function Centre on Friday 16 October 2026 from 10am to 3pm.
The free community event, held during national Mental Health Month, is designed to improve awareness and understanding of mental health and wellbeing. Visitors can connect with local service providers, enjoy live presentations and take part in activities promoting healthy lifestyles.
The day will open with a Welcome to Country, followed by a welcome from David Waters - RCMB General Manager Community Development.
Keynote speakers include:
- Sean Phillip – founder of the Shaka Project - The Shaka always had one mission, to ignite the conversation, crush the stigma and change the stats on Suicide here in Australia. Through lived experience of Mental Health and Suicide they wanted to put their pain into passion, to help those experiencing mental health crisis, to promote support seeking behaviour and to normalise the conversation of ''it's okay, not to be okay!''
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy activities such as henna design and massage therapy. A sensory space will also be available in the Vicki Nottage Gallery, which will be hosting the Youth Art Prize 2026 exhibition until the 15 November.
Community connections will be at the heart of the event with opportunities to share “Coffee with a Cop”, chat with the Chatty Café team over coffee from the iREACH Second Beginnings coffee van. There will be a free pizza lunch and fresh fruit.
The expo is presented by iREACH, the Rural City of Murray Bridge and partners, with thanks to event sponsors including Skylight Mental Health, Silent Ripples and the Rural City of Murray Bridge.
