Council is inviting community feedback on the draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2025–2029.

Let’s talk about the draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2025-2029

The Plan sets out practical actions for the next four years to make our city more accessible, welcoming and inclusive for everyone – especially people living with disability, their families, carers and support networks.

Cover Page - The draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2025–2029

Building on the progress of our first DAIP (2020–2023), the draft Plan focuses on removing barriers to participation and improving equal access to services, spaces, programs and employment opportunities.

It aligns with South Australia’s State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029 and is structured around five domains: Inclusive Environments and Communities, Education and Employment, Personal and Community Support, Health and WellbeingandSafety, Rights and Justice.

The draft DAIP includes an overview of:

  • Legislative requirements
  • Disability in our region and more broadly
  • The role of Local Government
  • Our continuing work from our previous DAIP
  • The priority groups and the role of intersectionality
  • The inclusion domains, outcomes framework, measures and our actions
  • Our accountability, performance and reporting requirements
  • How we will deliver our plan

Your feedback will help refine the final Plan before it goes to Council for adoption.
