Free Kitchen Caddy Starter Kits Available

The Rural City of Murray Bridge is offering FREE Kitchen Caddy Starter Kits to help residents reduce food waste and make better use of the green organics bin.

Around 40% of household waste is made up of food scraps. By using a kitchen caddy, residents can easily collect these scraps and turn them into compost instead of sending them to landfill.

Each Kitchen Caddy Starter Kit includes:

  • Kitchen caddy
  • A starter roll of Compostable bags
  • Fridge magnet with helpful instructions

Kitchen caddies are ideal for collecting everyday food scraps such as:

  • Fruit and vegetable scraps
  • Meat, bones and seafood shells
  • Bread, pasta and rice
  • Coffee grounds and tea leaves
  • Dairy products and leftovers
  • Tissues, paper towel and shredded paper

Simply line your caddy with a compostable bag, collect your food scraps, and transfer them into your green organics bin.

Tip: Keep your compostable produce bags from your local supermarket fruit and vegetable section - they’re compatible with your caddy!

Residents can collect their free kit from:

Local Government Centre
2 Seventh Street, Murray Bridge

Please note:

  • One kit per residence
  • Available while stocks last

This simple change at home can help reduce landfill and support a cleaner, greener community
