New cricket training facility ready at Johnstone Park
Cricketers across Murray Bridge and the wider region can now benefit from a new three-net cricket training facility at Johnstone Park.
The new facility has been completed to Cricket Australia standards and provides Imperial Cricket Club and the wider cricket community with a dedicated space to train, develop skills and support participation in cricket.
The project was supported through contributions from the Rural City of Murray Bridge, SACA Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund and Imperial Cricket Club, as well as received grant funding from the South Australian Government through the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing.
The total project cost was $147,666, with contributions of:
- $45,000 from the Rural City of Murray Bridge
- $30,000 from the SACA Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund
- $5,000 from Imperial Cricket Club
- $67,666 from the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing
The new net facility provides a safer, high-quality environment for players to train and develop their skills, while supporting increased participation in cricket across the Murray and Mallee region.
The facility is located at Johnstone Park, 12 Thomas Street, Murray Bridge.
