Fire Danger Season begins – be ready and stay safe
Fire Danger Season is beginning in the Murraylands. Restrictions will be in place from 1 November 2026 until 30 April 2027. Learn how to stay safe, prepare your property and find bushfire information.
During this time restrictions are in place on activities such as burning, lighting campfires, barbecues and using certain tools. These restrictions are designed to help protect lives, property and the environment.
Council’s Fire Prevention Officers are carrying out property inspections to ensure hazards are reduced. Residents who need to do additional work will receive a written notice under the Fire and Emergency Services Act 2005.
How to stay informed and prepared:
- Learn what you can and can’t do during Fire Danger Season by visiting the CFS website
