Have Your Say on Council’s Draft IT Asset Management Plan 2025–2029
The Rural City of Murray Bridge is seeking community feedback on its Draft Information Technology (IT) Asset Management Plan 2025–2029.
The Draft Plan outlines Council’s proposed approach to managing, maintaining and investing in information technology assets over the next four years. It builds on the previous 2021–2025 IT Asset Management Plan and responds to significant changes in technology, including the increased use of cloud-based services and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.
Council’s IT assets, with an estimated replacement value of $1.46 million, support the delivery of critical services and day-to-day operations. The Draft Plan focuses on structured lifecycle planning, cost forecasting and risk management to ensure technology assets remain secure, reliable and financially sustainable.
Key priorities outlined in the Draft Plan include maintaining IT service levels through timely asset renewal, managing the financial and operational impacts of cloud-based solutions, strengthening cybersecurity and business continuity, and supporting major digital initiatives such as the ERP system review, citizen portal and expanded digital service offerings.
The Draft IT Asset Management Plan 2025–2029 aligns with Council’s broader strategic and financial planning frameworks, including the Strategic Plan 2024–2028, Community Plan 2016–2032 and Long-Term Financial Plan.
Community feedback is welcomed and will help inform future decision-making to ensure Council’s digital services continue to meet operational needs and community expectations.
