MEET the newly elected Mayor, get to know elected members, see upcoming events and discover things to see and do in Murray Bridge this summer, in the latest edition of Connected Communities.

The summer edition of The Rural City of Murray Bridge community newsletter is now available online.

Mayor Wayne Thorley encouraged people to register online to receive the Council newsletter direct to their email inbox each quarter.

“Four times a year we like to provide updates to our community in this format to let people know what we’ve been up to and what’s ahead,” he said.

“We are moving with the times and into a digital environment to improve accessibility, save trees and save public money.

“People can view the newsletter online through Council’s website or have it delivered direct to their inbox - while a small number of printed copies will continue to be made available for people who prefer that format.

“Change takes time and while a number of people have already moved to online subscription we would like to see a lot more people register to ensure we are getting the information out to as many people as possible.”

Printed copies of the Summer edition are available at the Local Government Centre and the Murray Bridge Library.

Electronic copies of the Summer edition of Connected Communities are available on Council’s website at murraybridge.sa.gov.au/connectedcommunities
