Council is encouraging residents and businesses to get involved in celebrating the people that make our community great.

Nominating local legends, and showcasing achievements through friendly competition and awards, is behind a campaign to boost community pride and celebrate success in Murray Bridge.

Sport is vital in rural communities like ours because it brings the community together, promotes social interaction and inclusion and contributes positively to community identity and a sense of place.  We have a proud sporting culture which Council supports through the provision of sporting facilities and grants and now these are strengthened by awards that acknowledge our sporting greats.

Council is encouraging residents and businesses to get involved, lift each other up and share their achievements by nominating for any one of the awards and competitions coming up.

If you know a local legend worthy of acknowledgement consider putting their name forward for an award to recognise their hard work and inspire the community.

If you want to feel connected, have some fun and feel part of something larger than yourself consider entering one of the friendly competitions here
