Brinkley ReUse Centre takes part in Garage Sale Trail

The Rural City of Murray Bridge is encouraging residents to reduce and reuse waste as part of Garage Sale Trail 2026, Australia's largest community reuse campaign.

Supported by Green Industries SA, Garage Sale Trail connects communities across the country through the buying, selling and reuse of pre-loved items, helping to keep these items in circulation and out of landfill.

As part of the campaign, the Brinkley ReUse Centre will be featured on the national Garage Sale Trail website, showcasing Murray Bridge's much-loved local waste reduction initiative.

The ReUse Centre provides a second chance for thousands of items that might otherwise be thrown away and end up in landfill. Everything from furniture, electrical appliances and whitegoods to garden equipment, building materials and collectables are repurposed and rehomed for the benefit of the community.

The centre is also supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who generously give their time to help sort, display and sell donated items.

Garage Sale Trail will take place across two weekends, 7 to 8 November and 14 to 15 November 2026, with residents encouraged to visit the Brinkley ReUse Centre, explore local garage sales or register their own sale.

This campaign aligns with Council's commitment to waste reduction and environmental sustainability, demonstrating how simple everyday actions such as donating and buying second-hand items can have a positive impact on the environment and local community.
