Inspirational speaker, author and terrorist bombing survivor Dr. Gill Hicks will appear at Murray Bridge Hall in a free ticketed community event next month.
An Interview with Dr. Hicks will be held from 11am Wednesday 10 November at the Murray Bridge Town Hall.
Dr Hicks is a well-known inspirational speaker, with a background in the arts, who advocates for sustainable peace in the world, after she was made permanently injured in the London Terrorist bombings on 7 July 2005.
Murray Bridge Library Team Leader Tim Law will be interviewing the Australian of the Year finalist, in a collaborative project with the Town Hall team to reach a wider audience.
“Dr Gill Hicks is a true survivor and inspiration,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward to hearing about her amazing journey, the insights she gained along the way, and how some of those universal learnings can be applied in a post-COVID world, and in particular to life here in Murray Bridge.
“Dr Hicks is considered one of the most thought provoking, powerful and life affirming speakers in Australia and the United Kingdom.
“We have chosen to hold this event in the spectacular Murray Bridge Town Hall to ensure as many local people as possible have the opportunity to hear her speak.”
Event tickets are free, however space is limited and bookings are advised to secure a seat.
