To the heart of the Murraylands, where families and visitors enjoy a vibrant river lifestyle surrounded by a prosperous growing region of primary and secondary industry.

The City of Murray Bridge is situated 80km east of Adelaide, South Australia and incorporates the areas of Callington, Jervois, Mypolonga, Wellington & Woods Point.

With a mediterranean climate the region hosts more than 1.1 million visitors every year for business and holiday. Attractions include water sports, boating, fishing, swimming, motor sports, recreation, walking trails, restaurants and the International pedal prix.

The Council area covers 1,828 sq kilometres (including our portion of the River Murray and Lake Alexandrina).  The trafficable road network is 975 kilometres (not including Transport SA roads) and this figure is increasing as more and more housing subdivisions are developed.

Council is seeking expressions of interest from persons who may wish to be considered for three vacant independent specialist positions on its Development Assessment Panel. The Panel is Council's decision-making body for development proposals that have been referred to it by staff for a decision.
