Position Vacant
The Rural City of Murray Bridge is seeking expressions of interest from persons who wish to be considered for the two vacant community member positions of Community Advisory Committee (CAC).
The role of the CAC is to provide input for consideration by Council on allocating grant funding in a fair and transparent manner, providing comment into the range of Council’s community engagement opportunities and providing comment into a range of Community and Culture services.
The Committee consists of ten voting members, two of those being Elected Members of Council and eight independent community members who demonstrate a range of interests and a passion for the Council area.
Four meetings are held per year at the Local Government Centre, 2 Seventh Street, Murray Bridge and generally commence at 6:00pm on Tuesday, although additional meetings may be called in accordance with the Act. A copy of the Committee’s Terms of Reference is available HERE
Interested persons should ideally demonstrate passion for the Rural City of Murray Bridge and an understanding of and engagement in the community.
