Swimming Centre


Swimming Pool longThe Murray Bridge Swimming Centre is located on the corner of Adelaide Road and Flavel Terrace Murray Bridge.

The Centre features an Olympic size swimming pool heated to a constant 27 degrees with a maximum depth of 3 metres.  The Centre also boasts a medium sized toddler's pool half covered by shade cloth and a small babies pool fully covered with shade cloth.  A Water Play Park with five waterslides for children and toddler's water features, as well as a 48 metre Supaslide for teenagers and adults is open daily.

Male and female change rooms (with showers and toilets) are available onsite.  There is also a disabled toilet and disabled swing for assistance in the big pool.

The Swimming Centre features an abundance of grass and shaded areas for picnics with patrons able to enjoy free use of barbeque facilities and seating.

The Swimming Centre is a great asset to Murray Bridge delivering the local community and visitors with a recreation, sporting and entertainment facility in a safe environment.

The new swimming season will commence on Saturday 2 November 2019.

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday 6:30am to 7pm

Weekends and Public Holidays from 9am to 6pm

On days of inclement weather the pool may close early.  If the temperature is 35 degrees or over at 5pm, the pool will remain open for one extra hour, at the Manager's discretion.

Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day

The Swimming Centre will be closing at 4pm on Monday 24 December 2018 and Monday 31 December 2018

Daily 12 noon to 5:00pm  (subject to weather conditions and lifeguard availability)

Watch Around Water

Swimming Pool GuardThe Murray Bridge Swimming Centre is now an accredited Watch Around Water facility. This means there are guidelines that must be followed while visiting:

Children under 5 years must be constantly supervised and remain within arm's reach. If the child is in the water, the parent/guardian must be in the water too.

Children under 10 years must be accompanied into the facility and constantly supervised by a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian must have a clear view of the child at all times.

Children under 13 years must be accompanied into the Centre by a responsible person 16 years or over and supervised at all times.

Unsupervised children (of any age) will be removed from the water if the lifeguard is concerned for their safety.

A parent/guardian is regarded as a responsible individual who is over the age of 16.

Swim and Survive Program

The Royal Lifesaving Society Swim and Survive Program is held at the Swimming Centre in December of each year.  This program teaches water safety, survival skills and basic stroke skills for ages 0 to Adult.

VacSwim is held at the Swimming Centre in January of each year. 

This program provides primary school aged children between 5 and 13 years with opportunities to develop a range of skills and positive experiences in the areas of water safety, confidence and competence in the water, personal survival activities and basic aquatic emergency procedures.

Wednesday 2 January – Thursday 10 January 2019 – 9:00am to 12:30pm

Pool opens to the public on these days from 6:30am to 9:00am and from 12:30pm until close.
