SA History Festival - Decisions

Welcome to SA History Festival in Murray Bridge

A celebration with a focus on the theme – ‘Decisions

Local history lovers are in for a treat with free entry to both The Round House and Captain’s Cottage every Thursday throughout May to celebrate SA History Festival.

The theme for SA History Festival 2025 is ‘decisions’. Every great moment in history starts with a decision - big or small. From the pioneers' choices to settle and cultivate the land to the bold decision to build the first bridge across the Murray River, Murray Bridge’s history is built on turning points that shaped our community.

Our SA History Festival celebrations will include a one-day event hosted at the Captain’s Cottage Museum on Sunday 4 May between 12pm and 3pm including free entry and tours as well as live music, gin tasting plus food and drinks available for purchase.
