Council’s response to COVID-19 is informed by advice from Federal and State Government Agencies and the expert advice of relevant peak bodies including Aged & Community Services Australia.
The key priority of Council in this time of uncertainty in response to the COVID-19 situation is the health and safety welfare of our community, our staff and volunteers. As you would appreciate, the COVID-19 situation is constantly evolving and the information following is based on current advice which may change over the coming days and weeks.

As there have been consistently low levels of Covid-19 positive cases reported over the past few weeks the Rural City of Murray Bridge Chief Executive Officer on the advice of Lerwin management and the Covid-19 Incident Response Team, have determined that restrictions at Lerwin Aged Care Facility be eased as of Thursday 7 May, 2020.
The following conditions will be in place to manage visiting in a safe and controlled manner in accordance with the Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 3) (COVID-19) Directions 2020, under Section 25 of the Emergency Management Act 2004 (SA):
- One visit per day for each resident
- Up to 2 people for that one visit
- Up to 30 minutes for that one visit
- Between the times:
- Monday – Friday 11am-2pm
- Saturday & Sunday 1pm-4pm
- All visitors will be required to provide proof they have had the 2020 Seasonal Influenza Vaccination
