Operating Hours

From 29 June, the SA government lifted COVID-19 restrictions to Phase 3.  In this phase, libraries are allowed to open with appropriate physical distancing of 2 square metres per person.

As libraries are no longer defined as a public activity, contact tracing is no longer required.  This allows access to the library to transition back to regular opening hours over the next few weeks.

The library will continue to operate during weekdays with opening times of 9:30am to 6pm until Monday 13 July when full normal operation hours with late night Thursday to 8:00pm and weekend opening hours (Saturday 9.30am-1pm, Sunday 1pm-4pm) will apply.

Patrons will be able to use one of the three of the library’s PC’s for a maximum of two hours per day. The 15 minute express PC remains available for short sessions.

Newspapers and appropriately spaced seats, tables and study bays will be reintroduced.

Toy library, games consoles, meeting areas, events and food vending will remain closed until further notice

To keep other patrons and staff safe it is vital that you:

  • Do not attend the library if you have any symptoms of a cold or flu
  • Keep a 1.5 metre distance from others
  • Wash hands or use hand sanitiser before entering and exiting the library
  • Maintain appropriate personal hygiene practices (especially covering coughs and sneezes)

Additional cleaning will be undertaken throughout each day
