Healthy Murraylands is encouraging community members, particularly adults to eat well and to be active.

The project promotes healthy ideas and provides new ways to lead a healthier lifestyle such as Community Foodies, Strength for Life and Heartmoves programs and Heart Foundation walking groups.

There are plenty of physical activity programs to join with weekly Heart Foundation Heartmoves and COTA Strength for Life sessions at the Murray Bridge Soccer Club as well as weekday Heart Foundation walking groups that set off from Sturt Reserve.

Training subsidies are available for Murraylands residents keen to become fitness leaders of Community Foodies.

The project team includes Coordinator Bianca Gazzola and Project Officer Kim Smithson and partners with locally qualified instructors to offer more opportunities for residents to be healthy.

Healthy Murraylands is a National Partnership Agreement on Preventative Health, funded by the Australian Government and delivered by the five Murraylands Councils including the Rural City of Murray Bridge.

To join a program or if you have any project questions contact Healthy Murraylands.
