Nominations are now being accepted for the 2020 Rural City of Murray Bridge Australia Day Awards.

Mayor Brenton Lewis said many extraordinary people have contributed to our region's culture, excelled in sport and made a difference in our community.
“We look forward to this annual event that celebrates individuals and community groups, who go above and beyond to ensure that our community is proud, safe and progressive,” Mayor Lewis said.
“I am always proud of the number of nominations for these awards we receive for achievers of all age groups and walks of life. It truly shows the diversity and community spirit of those who live in the Rural City of Murray Bridge.
“We need to acknowledge these special people and show our thanks, to inspire others to continue building on the work already being carried out by those who make a difference.
“It’s also a special occasion because we will welcome a group of new Australian citizens to our community following the awards presentation.
“I urge you to take the time and submit a nomination for someone you believe is deserving of an accolade. This could be a friend, workmate, someone at your sports club or community association or someone you know doing great work serving the community.”
