PROVIDE CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR)

Our students are trained by current Paramedics and Registered Nurses who continue to work in their industries. This gives our students the advantage of learning from health professionals who have current experience in dealing with emergency situations.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest.

KEYBOARDING SPEED AND ACCURACY – SKILLS TESTING

To achieve the most out of the Skills Testing, it is recommended that participants are familiar with correct keyboarding techniques.  Our Keyboarding Speed and Accuracy Skills Test meets the Australian Standard AS2708-2001 for keyboarding speed and accuracy and is accepted by the SA Police Department and others.

PROVIDE FIRST AID (INCLUDING CPR)

Provide First Aid [formerly Apply First Aid or Senior First Aid] is a comprehensive first aid course suitable for everyday emergency situations. This qualification meets the requirement, set out in the Code of Practice, for a Senior First Aider. It incorporates HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation [CPR] & HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support. 

A First aid qualification should be renewed every three [3] years, however, the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) www.resus.org.au recommends the CPR unit is re-certified annually.

- Managing the unconscious, breathing patient

Pre-requisites:  Participants must be 14 years or older and will be required to complete a self-assessment form prior to attending training. During First Aid training participants will be required to work at a range of height levels. Participants will also be required to kneel for a minimum of two (2) minutes for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) assessment and to roll onto your back, side and/or stomach. Please wear appropriate clothing for practical skills assessment at ground level. PLEASE NOTE: CPR training manikins used in this course contain latex.

LICENCE TO OPERATE A FORKLIFT TRUCK

This unit specifies the outcomes required for the operation of a powered industrial truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachment, for licensing purposes. This definition also includes a truck on which the operator is raised with the attachment for order-picking.

This short course aim is to enhance your understanding, knowledge for general workplace safety and plant operations.

It covers Safety work systems and risk assessment, Harness and lifelines as per AS1891, Access equipment and fall arrest systems, types of respiratory protective devices, atmospheric testing requirements, complete documents as per AS2865 and a practical assessment.

Note: Mining and/or other industries may require Emergency First Aid in addition to current competency in Confined Space in order to work in or manage a confined space - please check with your employer for your requirements.

WHITE CARD – WORK SAFELY IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to undertake Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) induction training within the construction industry.

It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of OHS legislative requirements and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry.

Licensing requirements will apply to this unit of competency depending on the regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction. The White Card is the method used to formally recognise that an individual has attended Occupational Health and Safety Induction training relevant to the Building and Construction Industry.
