Venues

Murray Bridge has a wide range of parks and gardens, halls and other facilities, which are the perfect location for a variety of events and functions, from intimate weddings, barbecues and corporate functions to festivals, concerts, carnivals and meetings.

Hire

If you wish to hold a function or event in the Murray Bridge area please complete an Event Application Form and submit a hard copy to the Local Government Centre in person or mail to PO Box 421, MURRAY BRIDGE 5253. Forms can also be submitted electronically to the contact email address below.

Please read the following attachments prior to completing the application form, however please note that they refer mostly to large events and will not necessarily apply to all event types.

Fees

Refer to Council's Schedule of Fees & Charges for relevant costs. Applicants will be invoiced upon approval.

The fee structure for events is designed to make the application process streamlined, affordable and efficient. Fees for a function or event are the same across most parks and venues.

Public Liability

A minimum $20 million Public Liability Insurance must be obtained and a certificate of currency must be provided prior to the event.

Bond

A site bond may also be required  - the bond amount will be stipulated by Council's Contract Officer and must be received prior to set up of your event.

Operational Services

The cost for operational services undertaken by the Rural City of Murray Bridge is additional to reserve hire fees. The operational services will be quoted prior to the event.

Other Costs

Additional costs will also apply for road closures, flags, banners, catering, temporary parking controls and utilities being used. Advertising costs for Public Consultation will be provided on application - public consultation fees are applied to specific usage of Council's reserves and are over and above the hire fees.

Barbecues

During total fire ban days the Rural City of Murray Bridge recommends the use of the supplied electrical barbecues or portable gas barbecues, as naked flames are not permitted.
