A GRANITE artwork serving as a permanent visible tribute to victims and survivors of domestic and family violence will be built on the riverfront at Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge, in a project called Place of Courage: Ripples Across SA.

The public artwork by CHEB Art will provide a gathering point for the annual Domestic Violence (DV) vigil, a quiet place of reflection, educational opportunities and a respectful statement about the strength and resilience of victims and survivors of DV.

Minor landscaping and a nearby bench will enhance the space and a launch event will be held once installation is complete mid 2023 (subject to any delays caused by potential flooding at Sturt Reserve).

Service providers, schools, community groups and others are encouraged to become part of the community project and growing movement.

Anyone interested in becoming involved with the project should attend a community information session at 4pm Tuesday 29 November at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery.
