Full Time* – 9 month contract

Are you currently working as a Planning Officer or Graduate Planning Officer with a minimum of one year’s experience and are looking to expand your skills and broaden your experience?

During this exceptionally busy time, an opportunity has arisen for a qualified person to join our Development Team to assist in undertaking a broad range of development assessment and compliance functions of the Council.

Responsibilities of the position include the assessment of a wide variety of development proposals, the provision of planning and development advice to customers and other stakeholders and undertaking compliance and enforcement action. You will use your skills and experience to balance competing objectives, achieve high quality development outcomes and provide detailed and tailored advice.

As the successful applicant you will actively contribute to the team, assist in implementing team and process improvement initiatives and play a role in the development of planning policy.

The successful candidate will ideally have relevant experience relating to this role and a strong desire to deliver high level customer service.

The position is offered at Level 5 but salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
