The Rural City of Murray Bridge provides an interactive and engaging swimming experience for its residents and visitors to Murray Bridge. We are seeking applications from qualified people excited for a career in sport and recreation to join our team for the swimming season which commences October 2023 and concludes April 2024.

Lifeguards – Casual Positions

This is a fantastic opportunity for Lifeguards to join our team. This role provides an opportunity to develop your skills and capabilities in the areas of customer service, supervision and care of patrons and assisting in the provision of recreational programs, events and activities.  To succeed in this role you will display a sound work ethic, an ability to work cooperatively as an effective team member and contribute towards team goals.  You will join our flexible roster with working hours varying in accordance with climatic conditions 7 days a week. Casual Lifeguard positions are offered at an hourly rate of $41.15 subject to Local Government award conditions. Casual loading and public holiday penalties apply to these positions.

Successful applicants must have the following qualifications (current for the season of operation):

  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Provide CPR Certificate
  • Working With Children Check – DHS Screening
  • Fundamentals – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect (2 hour course)
  • National Police Check
