Lerwin Maintenance Officer

Position Overview

An opportunity is open for a suitably qualified and experienced handy/trades person to join Lerwin Residential Care as the facility’s Maintenance Officer.

This is offered as a full-time ongoing position at General Officer Level 4 in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement with a starting annual salary of $85,400.12.

Applicants will demonstrate:

  • Adaptability, initiating action, collaboration, managing work (including time management), and work standards
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred, but is not essential

Qualifications

Applicants will be required to provide evidence of:

Essential;

  • Drivers Licence

Desirable;

  • Qualifications in building/engineering/applicable trade fields
  • Drivers Licence MR

Along with;

  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
  • Current DHS Screening – Aged Care Sector Employment
  • Current National Police Check
  • COVID Vaccination (min 3)
  • Seasonal Influenza

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager - Lerwin, responsibilities of the position include:

  • Prepare and maintain annual maintenance plans/programs and assist with asset management planning initiatives
  • Respond effectively to daily Maintenance Action Requests
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements for essential services and safety
  • Inducting, overviewing and managing contractor performance to ensure safe, efficient and cost effective outcomes
