The Murray Bridge Visitor Information Centre is a fully accredited Visitor Information Centre (VIC) and has been providing information to visitors and locals for over 30 years.
Established in 1990, the Murray Bridge Tourist Information Centre originally operated from a 27 foot caravan and was located in Pine Park. Funded initially by the Murray Bridge Tourist Association and further funding was provided by the Rural City of Murray Bridge. In 1990 a new Local government centre was built and included a purpose built centre to accommodate both the Tourist Information Centre and the Community Information Centre, at the same time the council took over funding of the operations.
The Murray Bridge Tourist Information Centre became an accredited Visitor Information Centre (VIC) in 2004 and has since been providing quality service and informative knowledge of Murray Bridge and our surrounding regions to both locals and visitors.
The VIC employs 4 staff to oversee and manage the operations and an average of 20 volunteers, contribute to the daily operations.
Operating 7 days a week with the exception of Christmas Day and open from 9am – 5pm weekdays and 10am - 4pm weekends and public holidays. The VIC provides a large range of information on Murray Bridge and surrounding regions including attractions, dining, accommodation and events. South Australian Regions are profiled in the VIC through the South Australian Tourist Commissions (SATC) Regional Guides, as well as profiling Victorian regions the VIC has a small range of Australian tourist information.
