The City of Murray Bridge is situated 80km east of Adelaide, South Australia and incorporates the areas of Callington, Jervois, Mypolonga, Wellington & Woods Point.
With a mediterranean climate the region hosts more than 1.1 million visitors every year for business and holiday. Attractions include water sports, boating, fishing, swimming, motor sports, recreation, walking trails, restaurants and the International pedal prix.
The Council area covers 1,828 sq kilometres (including our portion of the River Murray and Lake Alexandrina). The trafficable road network is 975 kilometres (not including Transport SA roads) and this figure is increasing as more and more housing subdivisions are developed.

Redevelopment of Sixth Street
5 November 2009
The recent awarding of the Regional Centre of Culture to Murray Bridge has resulted in the redevelopment of the Town Hall and Regional Gallery. The redevelopment is due for completion in March 2010. Council is also seeking to develop Sixth Street between Bridge Street and Fifth Street including a one way proposal.

Murray Bridge Better Development Plan DPA

On 17 December 2009, the Minister for Urban Development Planning approved the Murray Bridge Better Development Plan Development Plan Amendment (DPA) for public consultation. The Minister also agreed thtat the DPA would come into effect immediately on an interim basis. The DPA was consolidated on 17 December 2009

Town Hall Redevelopment

The Town Hall and Gallery redevelopment is well underway, with works currently in the deconstruction phase. The development will incorporate an upper level balcony in the auditorium, a new kitchen/bar area, new toilet facilities and an open space foyer entry for pre show refreshments.

Riverbank Slumping - Public Notice
