Economic Development


The Rural City of Murray Bridge endorsed its Economic Development Strategy 2015-2030 at its meeting on the 14 December 2015. 

The Economic Development identifies our aspiriation  to be the focus of South Australia’s regional economic growth  over the next 20 years, to deliver opportunity, resilience and a wonderful  lifestyle that attracts and retains skilled and innovative people and business.

This Strategy informs the Dynamic Economic chapter of  Council’s Strategic Plan 2016-2020.

To achieve the vision of the Economic Development Strategy 2015-2020 and the goals of the Council’s Strategy Plan 2016-2020, Council works in close partnership with Regional Development Australia Murraylands and Riverland’s whose mission is to provide a catalyst to achievement of the region’s priorities through advocacy, facilitation and funded service delivery.

With the support of Department of State Development, Regional Development Australia Murraylands Riverland (RDAMR) will now provide support to job seekers and potential employers via a Job Connector Service.  The service will match local job seekers affected by the TFI fire to potential employers in the region who can utilise their experience, knowledge and skills. Individuals can gain access to job search support, resume assistance and training to align them with potential jobs, whilst local employers seeking employees will be able to work with RDAMR to find the best person to fill their vacancy.
