Geocaching in the Murraylands

Have you heard of Geocaching before? Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting activity using your smart phone or a GPS device, perfect for families and children to have fun doing together outdoor.

OPAL Murray Bridge, Mid Murray and Coorong, have joined forces to encourage families in the Murraylands to start geocaching around their local area. As part of this project a 'Geocaching in the Murraylands' short video has been created and can be view here. The video features many local iconic locations as well as local talent.

The Murray Bridge Library has GPS units available for loan. The Murray Bridge Library can be contacted on 8539 1175.

The three OPAL sites will also we working with local schools and community groups to introduce the activity of geocaching and encourage them to start laying their own caches around the Murraylands.
